Who is responsible
Promagen Ltd (company number 17089097) is the data controller. Its registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
What is processed and why
- Site requests: Vercel hosts this site and receives technical request data such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser or user-agent information and security diagnostics. This is necessary to deliver and protect the site. The lawful basis is Promagen's legitimate interest in operating a secure public website.
- Aggregate performance information: Promagen manually reviews Google Search Console, YouTube Studio and short-lived Vercel logs. These sources are not joined into visitor profiles. The method and retention rules are recorded in the repository's analytics contract.
- YouTube video: when a published myth includes a video, the player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced
youtube-nocookie.comdomain. Loading or using the player can still send technical data to Google/YouTube. The written article and sources remain available without playing the video. - Correspondence: if you write to Promagen, the company uses the details you provide to answer the request or complaint. The lawful basis is legitimate interest or, where applicable, compliance with a legal obligation.
Processors, transfers and retention
Vercel is the hosting processor. Google is used for Search Console, YouTube Studio and privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds. Those providers may process data outside the United Kingdom under their own safeguards and terms.
This application configures no log drain and Promagen keeps no separate copy of raw request logs. Vercel applies the retention period for the active hosting plan. Manual analytics exports contain aggregate figures, are kept privately for 24 months and are then deleted; anonymised decision summaries may be kept. Privacy correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after the matter closes, unless law requires longer.
See the Vercel privacy notice and the Google privacy policy for provider details.
Your rights and complaints
You may ask Promagen to give you access to, correct, erase or restrict personal data, or object to processing where the law provides those rights. Write to the registered office above and mark the envelope Data protection request or Data protection complaint. Complaints are acknowledged within 30 days, investigated and answered without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
